It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have ~ ~ Courage and conviction are powerful weapons against an enemy who depends only on fists or guns. Animals know when you are afraid; a coward knows when you are not ~ ~ Too many people feel that where you start out dictates where you should end up. Cheap wine will always be too expensive. ~ ~ Wine fills the heart with courage. ~ ~ During war times not only one should himself take part in it but also encourage the courageous to do so by creating awareness, zeal and enthusiasm for the war in the society. ~ ~ In opening our hearts, we hope this might promote greater awareness of this condition. Perhaps it will encourage a clearer understanding of the individuals and families who are affected by it. ~ ~ Courage is an everyday thing. When we look reality squarely in the eye and refuse to back away from our awareness, we are living courage. ~ ~ Association with one's fellows is essential to the renewal of the zest for life and is indispensable to the maintenance of the courage to fight those battles consequent upon the ascent to the higher levels of human living ~ ~ Gaiety that sweetens existence and makes it wholesome - a sense of humor, a zest of enjoyment - this is the accompaniment of courage which gives it a supreme value. Something of the high laughter of a Cyrano de Bergerac - the world needs it. ~ ~ To excite opposition and inflame malevolence is the unhappy privilege of courage made arrogant by consciousness of strength ~ |
