~ In photography, if I am able to evoke not only a feeling of the reality of the surface physical world but also a feeling of the reality of existence that lies mysteriously and invisibly beneath its surface, I feel I have succeeded. At its best, photography is a symbol that not only serves to help illuminate some of the darkness of the unknown, but it also serves to lessen the fears that too often accompany the journeys from the known to the unknown. ~  ~ We could say that meditation doesn't have a reason or doesn't have a purpose. In this respect it's unlike almost all other things we do except perhaps making music and dancing. When we make music we don't do it in order to reach a certain point, such as the end of the composition. If that were the purpose of music then obviously the fastest players would be the best. Also, when we are dancing we are not aiming to arrive at a particular place on the floor as in a journey. When we dance, the journey itself is the point, as when we play music the playing itself is the point. And exactly the same thing is true in meditation. Meditation is the discovery that the point of life is always arrived at in the immediate moment. ~ ~ Love is a rollercoaster ride, that never seems to end.
It has its up and downs.
Love is journey, that has no end ~ ~ My love for you is a journey; Starting at forever, And ending at never ~ ~ My love for you is a journey; Starting at forever, And ending at never. ~ ~ Life begins as a quest of the child for the man and ends as a journey by the man to rediscover the child. ~ ~ Simplicity is making the journey of this life with just baggage enough. ~ ~ I believe that a worthwhile life is defined by a kind of spiritual journey and a sense of obligation. ~ ~ We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey. ~ ~ Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it. ~ ~ Water, like religion and ideology, has the power to move millions of people. Since the very birth of human civilization, people have moved to settle close to it. People move when there is too little of it. People move when there is too much of it. People journey down it. People write, sing and dance about it. People fight over it. And all people, everywhere and every day, need it ~ ~ We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and intruded depths of the wilderness and travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey. ~  |
