~ The challenge of social justice is to evoke a sense of community that we need to make our nation a better place, just as we make it a safer place. ~ ~ If everyone howled at every injustice, every act of barbarism, every act of unkindness, then we would be taking the first step towards a real humanity. ~ ~ Globalization could be the answer to many of the world's seemingly intractable problems. But this requires strong democratic foundations based on a political will to ensure equity and justice ~ ~ There may be liberty and justice for all, but there are tax breaks only for some. ~ ~ Maturity: Be able to stick with a job until it is finished. Be able to bear an injustice without having to get even. Be able to carry money without spending it. Where love, compassion, altruism and justice have failed, genetic manipulation will not succeed. ~ ~ The Supreme Court has not closed the doors of justice to the detainees imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay. This is a major victory for the rule of law and affirms the right of every person, citizen or non-citizen, detained by the United States to test the legality of his or her detention in a U.S. Court. ~ ~ The war in Iraq will end, our troops will come home, Bush will be impeached and he will be brought to justice. ~ ~ As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government.
