I think thatís another very important part of morality, being genuinely compassionate and concerned about the feelings and well being of other people, especially those that depend on you directly. ~ ~ If you are motivated by loving kindness and compassion, there are many ways to bring happiness to others right now, starting with kind speech. ~ ~ But if we have the energy of compassion and loving kindness in us, the people around us will be influenced by our way of being and living. ~ ~ Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty ~ ~ This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness ~ ~ What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies. ~ |
