~ No, life has not disappointed me. On the contrary, I find it truer, more desirable and mysterious every year ever since the day when the great liberator came to me: the idea that life could be an experiment of the seeker for knowledge and not a duty, not a calamity, not trickery. ~ ~ Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. ~ ~ Knowledge without justice ought to be called cunning rather than wisdom. ~ ~ Exploration really is the essence of the human spirit, and to pause, to falter, to turn our back on the quest for knowledge, is to perish. ~ ~ I demand that my books be judged with utmost severity, by knowledgeable people who know the rules of grammar and of logic, and who will seek beneath the footsteps of my commas the lice of my thought in the head of my style. ~ ~ As long as there are millions destitute of the Word of God and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, it will be impossible for me to devote my time and energy to those who have both. ~ ~ To make knowledge productive, we will have to learn to see both forest and tree. We will have to learn to connect. ~ ~ How honorable is knowledge, that the one who does not have it, says he does. How dishonorable is ignorance, that the one who has it says he does not. ~ ~ God is by definition the holder of all possible knowledge, it would be impossible for him to have faith in anything. Faith, then, is built upon ignorance and hope. ~ ~ Knowledge and science are the coffers and caches to the treasures of Perfection; and the only access to them is to ask and question. ~ ~ This whole universe, with all its vastness, grandeur and beauty, is nothing but sheer imagination. In spite of so many discoveries, researches and scientific knowledge, the creation remains a great unsolved riddle. ~ ~ God is Infinite and His Shadow is also infinite. The Shadow of God is the Infinite Space that accommodates the infinite Gross Sphere which, with its occurrences of millions of universes, within and without the ranges of men\'s knowledge, is the Creation that issued from the Point of Finiteness in the infinite Existence that is God. ~ ~ Human knowledge and human power meet in one; for where the cause is not known the effect cannot be produced. Nature to be commanded must be obeyed; and that which in contemplation is as the cause is in operation as the rule. ~ ~ Knowledge is simply a terrible ocean we must cross, and hope that wisdom lies on the other side. ~ ~ The great end of life is not knowledge but action. ~ ~ I will greet this day with love in my heart. And how will I do this? Henceforth will I look on all things with love and I will be born again. I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit. I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars. I will welcome happiness for it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul. I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge. ~ ~
