~ Love and you shall be loved. All love is mathematically just, as much as two sides of an algebraic equation. ~ ~ Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly. ~ ~ We find rest in those we love, and we provide a resting place in ourselves for those who love us. ~ ~ It is love alone that gives worth to all things. ~ ~ What is love, Does anyone know, Is it what twinkles between our toes, Can we not see it with our own eyes, Can we not hear its whisper with our own ears, Can we not touch it with our own skin, No we can not, Because true love comes from you, Within ~ ~ Love is most nearly itself when here and now cease to matter. ~ ~ Where there is great love, there are always miracles ~ ~ Love is a rollercoaster ride, that never seems to end.
It has its up and downs.
Love is journey, that has no end ~ ~ If you love someone dearly, your love will grow as you practice looking through that person's eyes as much as into that person's eyes. ~ ~ Love happens. Yet, Romance, like any skill, improves
with practice. So, practice, practice, practice! ~ ~ There's magic to love... Millions of years ago we evolved three basic drives: the sex love, romantic love, and attachment to a long-term partner. These circuits are deeply embedded in the human brian. They're going to survive as long as our species survive on what Shakespeare called, this "mortal coil." ~ ~ Romance is a love affair in other than domestic surroundings. ~ ~ There is nothing better for the spirit or the body than a love affair. It elevates the thoughts and flattens the stomachs. ~ ~ The perfect love affair is one which is conducted entirely by post. ~ ~ You can be as romantic as you please about love, Hector; but you mustn't be romantic about money ~ ~ Detection is, or ought to be, an exact science, and should be treated in the same cold and unemotional manner. You have attempted to tinge it with romanticism, which produces much the same effect as if you worked a love-story or an elopement into the fifth proposition of Euclid ~ ~ Men always want to be a woman's first love. That is their clumsy vanity. We women have a more subtle instinct about things. What we like is to be a man's last romance ~ ~ I love romance. It goes back to the films I watched as a kid. ~ ~ To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance ~ ~ I've had many lovers and still have romances. I am very spoiled. All my life, I've had too many admirers ~ ~ Love is somthing that can not be
explained - the force that drives us to
protect the ones we care about ~ ~ No matter where you go,
however far away,
a part of me will be with you
and a part of you, with me, will stay
But to see her was to love her,
love but her,
and love her forever
As for me, to love you alone, to make
you happy, to do nothing which would
contradict your wishes, this is my
destiny and the meaning of my life. ~ ~ Men always want to be a woman's first love.
Women have a more subtle instinct:
What they like is to be a man's last romance. ~ ~ I only wish to be the fountain of love
from which you drink,
every drop promising eternal passion. ~ ~ How bold one gets when one is sure of being loved! ~ ~ To love is to place our happiness in the happiness of another. ~ ~ You say that love is nonsense....I tell you it is no such thing. For weeks
and months it is a steady physical pain, an ache about the heart,
never leaving one, by night or by day; a long strain on one's nerves like
toothache or rheumatism, not intolerable at any one instant, but exhausting
by its steady drain on the strength. ~ ~ If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's
sake only. Do not say, I love her for her smile . . . her look . . . her way
Of speaking gently . . . for a trick of thought That falls in well with
mine, and, certes, brought A sense of pleasant ease on such a day-
For these things in themselves, Beloved, may be changed, or change
for thee- and love so wrought, May be unwrought so. ~ ~ Love won't be tampered with, love won't go away. Push it to one side and it creeps to the other ~ ~ Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists.... When we are parted,we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost.
That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence. ~ |
