~ There are two ways of disliking poetry; one way is to dislike it, the other is to read Pope ~ ~ Poetry should only occupy the idle. ~ ~ It is as impossible to translate poetry as it is to translate music. ~ ~ To see the Summer Sky Is Poetry, though never in a Book it lie -True Poems flee. ~ ~ Rap is rhythm and poetry. Hip-hop is storytelling and poetry as well. ~ ~ The drama embraces and applies all the beauties and decorations of poetry. The sister arts attend and adorn it. Painting, architecture, and music are her handmaids. The costliest lights of a people's intellect burn at her show. All ages welcome her. ~ ~ The poetry of heroism appeals irresistibly to those who don't go to a war, and even more to those whom the war is making enormously wealthy.
