But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man-for precisely the same reason. ~ ~ A happy marriage has in it all the pleasures of a friendship, all the enjoyments of sense and reason, and indeed, all the sweets of life. ~ ~ Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future lives and crimes from society. ~ ~ Fear is never a reason for quitting; it is only an excuse. ~ ~ A happy marriage has in it all the pleasures of a friendship, all the enjoyments of sense and reason, and indeed, all the sweets of life.

~ ~ Faith is reason grown courageous. ~ ~ Faith... must be enforced by reason.... When faith becomes blind it dies. ~ ~ The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. ~ ~ The reason angels can fly is because they take themselves lightly. ~ ~ Habit is stronger than reason ~ ~ I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone... they will be forced to deal with pain. ~ ~ Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear. ~ ~ Reason can answer questions, but imagination has to ask them. ~ ~ Women need a reason to have sex.
