Commitment Quotes
There are only two options regarding commitment. You're either in or out. There's no such thing as a life in-between.

It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through.

The relationship between commitment and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is healthiest when it's not without doubt but in spite of doubt.
Dr. Rollo May

Passion can never purchase what true love desires: true intimacy, self-giving, and commitment

The best way to create a genuine "responsibility era" -- a genuine commitment to families and to the values they reflect -- is to begin with those to whom we owe the greatest responsibility -- those whom we most value -- our kids. Let's not just talk about it -- let's put kids first.

The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike, timid and fearful in the face of bold projects and new ideas. Rather, it will belong to those who can blend passion, reason and courage in a personal commitment to the ideals of American society.

The transaction reinforces our commitment to grow our electricity business and to continue offering customers a competitive package.
Roy Gardner

Success, just like poverty is a state of mind. You can become successful instantly with a simple decision and commitment. Long lasting and pronounced success comes to those who renew their commitment to a mindset of abundance every minute, hour and day.

You can become instantly successful with a simple thought, but long-lasting and pronounced success comes to those who renew their commitment to a mindset of abundance every minute of every hour of every day.

Coach said. the quality of a man's life is in direct proportion to his commitment to excellence, regardless of his chosen field of endeavor.

Great leaders recognize that companies must innovate to remain competitive, and they nurture environments that encourage creative thinking. Innovation is rarely accidental it takes an organizational commitment that starts at the executive level. The idea is not enough. As Thomas Edison said, innovation is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Too often companies forget the perspiration or execution part of the equation.

As leader of our nation, it is my sacred responsibility to defend democracy and the nation's interests. Let me assure you all that in my responsibility, I will not fail. My commitment, and that of my government, to the welfare, safety and security of the people is unshakable. Our nation has great potential, and already we have begun to realize our dream of a better and fairer Fiji. Let us not deny ourselves this golden opportunity of moving towards a better and brighter tomorrow.
Timoci Uluivuda Bavadra

We are united in our commitment to strive for the advancement of our people - especially the women, the poor, the weak, the powerless, the youth, and the unemployed.
Timoci Uluivuda Bavadra

I wish more of us could understand that our increasing isolation, no matter how much it seems to express pride and self-affirmation, is not the answer to our problems. Rather, the answer is a revival of our ancient commitment to God, who rules over all the peoples of the world and exalts no one over any other, and to the moral and spiritual values which were once legendary in America. We must reach out our hand in friendship both to those who would befriend us and those who would be our enemy. We must believe in the power of education. We must respect just laws. We must love ourselves, our old and or young, our women as well as our men. I see nothing inconsistent between being proud of oneself and one's ancestors and, at the same time, seeing oneself first and foremost a member of the commonwealth of all races and creeds.
Arthur Robert Ashe, Jr.

We must remain constantly vigilant. We dare not underestimate our enemy. Al Qaeda is committed to the destruction of America, and they are in it for the long haul. They are much smarter than many give them credit for being, and they are definitely much more patient than the pace of our fast-food society conditions us to be. Their commitment does not depend on bin Laden or any other single leader.

Commitment is the equivalent of faith when the living God has been supplanted by self-provided values. It is Pascals wager, no longer on Gods existence but on ones capacity to believe in oneself and the goals one has set for oneself.

The fact-value distinction admits that values are essential to life and shape the way facts are seen and used. Therefore values are primary. Of course, since commitment did not really produce values, the values adopted were the remnants of old reasoning, values with fallen arches, reaffirmed by claims of passionate commitment.

The fact that in Germany the politics were of the Right and in the United States of the Left should not mislead us. In both places the universities gave way under the pressure of mass movements, and did so in large measure because they thought those movements possessed a moral truth superior to any the university could provide. Commitment was understood to be profounder than science, passion than reason, history than nature, the young than the old.

In antiquity there had also been mere scholars, studying Homer and Plato without knowing quite why, and without being interested in the questions the writers raised, fascinated by meters or the reliability of texts. If deeds are the most important thing, then the scholar is by definition inferior to the doer.

Sir Nicolas Duan Bratza
